TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1:    LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL

Upon arrival Luang Prabang, meet our guide and transfer to hotel for check in.

Afternoon, half day city tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. We then head to the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We also have time to visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Climping Phousi Hill to enjoy sunset over the city and Mekong River. Dinner at a local restaurant. O/N at hotel in Luang Prabang

Day 2:    LUANG PRABANG – BAN XANG HAI VILLAGE – PAK OU CAVES                  

Morning, visit National Museum. Taking a traditional riverboat for a 2-hour cruise upstream the Mekong River towards Pak Ou, to visit the sacred caves of Tham Ting and Tham Phum. On the way, stop at Ban Xang Hai village where sticky rice wine distillation can be seen. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon, return to Luang Prabang and continue by car to visit the weaving village of Ban Xang Khong where traditional Sa paper is also produced. Dinner at a local restaurant. O/N at hotel in Luang Prabang

Day 3:    LUANG PRABANG – KHUANG SI WATERFALL AND BAN CHAN    

Cross the Mekong River by boat, to the picturesque village of Ban Chan, a pottery village. Then visit the morning Phousi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Visit local villages of Laos ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou a Laoloum village and Ban Thapene, a Khmu village for seeing diferrent kinds of Laos’ traditional crafts. Go to see the beautiful Khuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to Luang Prabang late afternoon. Lunch/Dinner at a local restaurant. O/N at hotel in Luang Prabang

Day 4:    LUANG PRABANG – VIENTIANE                         

Morning, free at leisure until transfer to airport for flight to Vientiane

On arrival at the airport, transfer to hotel for check in. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon, explore Vientiane, visit some main temples such as Vat Ho Prakeo used to be the house of the Emerald Buddha and Wat Sisaket crossing the street and where more than ten thousand of Buddha images are placing. Continue to Pratuxai (Arc the Triumph of France), you are free to climb up to the top to get a great view of the city. End the tour with the visit to Golden Stupa, well known as That Luang Stupa and believed to contain a relic of lord Buddha. Return to hotel and free at convenience. Dinner at a local restaurant. O/N at hotel in Vientiane

Day 5:    VIENTIANE – DEPATURE

Free until transfer between the airport and your hotel with a private vehicle and English speaking guide is provided.
