Tour Itinerary

Day 1:     Hanoi (D)

Upon arrival at the Airport, you will meet our guide and transfer to hotel for check-in.

Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi

Day 2:     Hanoi – Laocai (B/L/D)

Enjoy Hanoi city tour today to visit Hochiminh Mausoleum and his former residence (Closed on Monday, Friday and the whole of Oct & Nov), One pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature – the first University in Vietnam, Vietnam Museum of Ethnology or Vietnam History Museum, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple. Finish your day off at the Thang Long Opera Theatre for a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show before transfer to Hanoi station for train to Laocai. Overnight on train

Day 3:     Laocai – Sapa – Hmong Village and Cat Cat village  (B/L/D)

Early arrival Lao Cai station at 06:30, meet with our English local guide and driver and have breakfast at local restaurant in Lao Cai then transfer by car for the highland town of Sapa. Check in hotel to leave luggage at hotel (if room available, you can receive room early). Same morning, we visit the Minority Village where ethnic minority people are in various styles of traditional dress - indigo tunics and leggings, elaborate pleated skirts, sliver-studded jackets. The first sightseeing is Cat Cat minority village where you will have a new understanding to these minorities and experience the unique lifestyle. You also enjoy a cultural show here. Next, follow a dirt trail snaking through the mountain and enjoy spectacular scenery while trekking along a narrow river until you reach Y Linh Ho village, home of the Black H'mong minority.

Day 4:     Sapa – Silver Water Fall, Heaven Gate and Ham Rong  (B/L/D)

Morning, free at leisure, relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape from your balcony.

The journey will commence with a drive southwards Muong Hoa valley. You will then start your descending walk into the valley, which is the largest paddy terrace in Sapa area. The guide can provide you with interesting information about rice and rice growing. If you visit the valley some time in between May and October, you will be able to experience how the local do planting and harvesting, one of the most important activities in their daily life. The walk takes you from Lao Chai village of Black H'mong minority to Ta Van village of Giay minority including a visit to the local Catholic Church.

After lunch, drive to Silver Waterfall (best seen in the rainy season from May to November), take a short walk to the waterfall where great views are offered of the surrounding mountains and lush forests of the Hoang Lien National Park. Along the way your guide will explain about this special part of Sa Pa, where many tree species are grown such as plum and peach trees, contiune to visit Ham Rong Mountain. Drive back to Sa Pa before driving to Lao Cai station to take Express train to Hanoi, departure at 21:00.

Day 5:     Hanoi – Halong  (B/L/D)

Early morning, you will meet our guide enjoy a light breakfast & sip on coffee in the French Quarter. Then, transfer to Halong City. This takes around 3 hours. We may stop enroute to admire the local scenery. Arrive at the port around 11:30 and board the ship. Begin sailing and pass through a magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth. After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay dotted with golden sails, go swimming on a quiet beach or sunbath on the sundeck. Later in the afternoon, visit an interesting fishing village with an opportunity to interact with local people who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. Back on board, enjoy a lavish dinner.

Day 6:     Halong – Hanoi (Brunch/D)

Wake up to take some Tai Chi exercises on the sun deck and continue cruising the bays. Breakfast buffet will be served in the restaurant, then visit the limestone grotto. Disembark in Halong City around 11am and transfer back to Hanoi with your private vehicle, guide and driver. When we arrive in Hanoi you have the rest of the afternoon free to explore the colorful streets of the Old Quarter and admire the architecture of the city

Day 7:     Hanoi Departure (B)

Free at leisure until transfer to airport for flight departure
